Back Country Adventure Tours!
Do you have previous snowmobile experience? Or are you making your first trip out west for a real mountain riding experience? Coming to Salt Lake City, Park City, or Heber Valley area and need a little more adventure than the standard dime a dozen guided tours around?
Uinta Recreation is a permitted outfitter to guide in the Uinta National Forest and we offer a true back country snowmobile experience. In other words, this is not your average guided tour!
How it Works
Here’s how it works: First, guided tours must be booked at least 24 hours in advance and are reserved based upon equipment availability as well as guide availability. Each guided tour is approximately 6 hours (or until you are worn out!) of mountain riding for a full day and 2.5-3 hours for a half day. You will be riding a variety of terrain based off from your group’s skill level. Much of the riding will be off trail real mountain riding! Your guides are not average riders, they are seasoned back country professionals! You will have 1-2 guides depending on the size of your group and each group must have a minimum of 2 snowmobilers and a maximum of 8 snowmobilers. Since these are true off-trail back country tours there will be a mandatory safety briefing as part of the tour time. Info covered will include avalanche safety, avalanche gear use and functionality and general rules for an off-trail back country experience. Each Uinta Recreation guide will have been trained in wilderness first aid or wilderness first responders and will be equipped with medical kits, survival kits and GPS / satellite communication devices. Guided tours are not bookable online. You must call us to book your guided tour. Availability is limited….Call now!

Damage agreements are required on all snowmobiles rentals. They are purchased per machine, per day. The damage agreements are intended to reduce the renters liability for damages to the rented snowmobile in the event there is an accident. Damage agreements are not insurance and do not cover other peoples equipment or personal injury. Once purchased the renter is then only responsible for damages up to the damage agreement limit. Damage agreements are meant to cover you in the event of an accident. They are not meant to cover reckless behavior. There are ways to void the damage agreement, so please read our rental agreement carefully.
