Utah Fly Fishing

Utah Fly Fishing on Utah’s famous Provo River and other Utah Fly Fishing Waters.  As the only ORVIS endorsed guide service on the Provo River you can be assured of a quality fishing day with us.  All of our guides are endorsed by ORVIS this means a guide that is qualified and seasoned at guiding. ORVIS has set a standard of excellence that we strive hard to maintain:

Over two decades ago, Orvis set out to make planning a world-class fly fishing experience easier for our customers.  We sought out the best fly fishing operations in the most exceptional areas of North America.  The result was the Orvis-Endorsed Lodfe, Outfitter, Expedition, Guide Service and Guide Program.  Each endorsed fly fishing operation has its own character, but all share the same high standards: great service, great fishing, and an experienced, professional staff.  These standards of excellence are continually reviewed by the Orvis staff and evaluated by visiting guests in post visit critiques sent directly to Orvis.  Orvis-Endorsed operations cater to every ability from beginner to expert.

RMO offers half day trips, full day trips, float trips (Seasonal) on the Provo River and other local waters.  Fish the Blue Ribbon River and you will definitely have a blue ribbon experience.  The Provo River has two sections that we fish.  The Middle section running from Jordanelle Reservoir to Deer Creek Reservoir in the Heber Valley offers great nymph fishing and some of the best dry fly action available.  Call for details on the best times for peak hatch activity.  The Lower Section runs below Deer Creek Dam to Utah Lake.  This section is known for its consistency.  I your after browns and rainbows with quality and quantity this section has both.  Its estimated that there are around 3400 fish per river mile.

Utah Guided Horse Back Rides

Enjoy a scenic horseback ride high on the south slope of the historic Soldier Hollow Valley–Venue of the 2002 winter Olympics. Our Cowboys and Horses will take you on a ride you’ll never forget.  Enjoy views of the Wasatch Mountains, including Mount Timpanogus and Deer Creek Reservoir. We will help you step back in time and relive the old western days of horseback riding.  We have a variety of trail rides available that will suit your group or individual requests.  Come on a ride up to the Crows Nest and see some incredible sites from on top of your trusty steed.

We also offer a reins and train package with the Heber Valley Railroad.  As you ride on the train beware of Black Jack Rave and his Soldier Hollow gang. If you don’t give him what they want you will be taken hostage and be treated with a trail ride on  horseback after the ride enjoy a lunch as you wait for the train to come back and pick you up.  This is one of Utah’s highlights of things to do while here in Utah.
